What makes a design stitch well
- Up to 5 thread colors. The studio picks the threads from your artwork and shows how many it needs.
- Solid shapes and clean edges. A stitch is about 2 mm, so hairlines and tiny dots drop out.
- Letters at least 1/4 in tall. Smaller text fills in.
- Artwork at 150 dpi or more at its stitched size. Upload a PNG, JPEG, WebP or SVG file up to 12 MB, or type your text in the studio.
- Thread needs contrast with the hat. The studio warns you when a thread is close to the hat color.
Embroidery or print?
Embroidery is raised, textured and lasts as long as the hat. Choose it for logos and lettering in a few flat colors. For photos, gradients or many colors, use a print.
